Early in her career, she discovered her passion for production while working for the New York Rangers, where she helped coordinate and execute live events, creating engaging content for the team. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for her media career. Demetra then worked as a producer and news reporter at Me-TV Network in New Jersey, gaining valuable newsroom experience. She further honed her production skills at major media outlets, where she managed fast-paced environments, worked with news anchors and celebrities, and gained expertise in pre- and post-production. 2021

Demetra pivots to mental health.

After years of thriving in the fast-paced, deadline-driven world of production, Demetra discovered that her passion wasn’t just about producing content; it was about connecting with people. Her desire to help heal others and create the lives they’ve always dreamed of, filled with the happiness they deserve, became her driving force. This inner calling ultimately led her to pivot toward mental health. With this newfound clarity, Demetra pursued a Master’s in Applied Psychology with a focus on Mental Health and Wellness from New York University.

Beyond her work in television and therapy, Demetra is also a published author and gifted poet.

She is the author of two poetry books, Love Letters In The Wall and Ice Cubes in My Cereal, which explore themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Through her work, Demetra captures the human experience in all its beauty and complexity, offering her readers comfort and connection through her raw and honest words. She hopes her poetry will help others feel less alone in their struggles and provide them with a sense of understanding and empowerment.

Demetra's writing is driven by a simple but powerful belief: "If someone loves my writings, hates my writings, or shares my writings, as long as it makes them feel something, I have accomplished just a little."
